I’m a design and creative consultant, always looking for things that inspire, are thoughtfully designed, practical, and stand the test of time. I am so grateful to have this space as a creative outlet where I share thoughts on things well-considered, from accessories, to skin-care, to anything that brings joy to the everyday.
I’ve always been obsessive about accessories. At the age of six, all I wanted was a pair of glittery jelly shoes, and after being told no too many times to count, I attempted to cobble together my own, out of plastic six-pack rings and scotch tape.
Throughout my 20-year career, I have designed footwear and handbags for brands like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Gryson, and Madewell, and was most recently head of design for Madewell. I currently work as a design and creative consultant, and reside in Brooklyn with my family.
My style philosophy is all about keeping it simple (usually jeans or trousers and a tee as a base), and I love to update a look with a quick change of accessories and a great piece of outerwear. It’s an easy way to refresh a wardrobe. I am discerning when it comes to adding anything new to my rotation, and I love nothing more than talking through what makes a great investment piece, or why it may make more sense to indulge in something else. I love well-designed and beautifully crafted pieces, but most importantly, I love items that function and do what they need to. (I’m a Taurus).
