While I had planned to send out a newsletter last week, I’ve taken a little extra time recovering from being sick to compile some of my favorite gift ideas. Nothing excites me more than a little retail therapy, especially when it’s for fun things for all the cherished people in my life, for all the little ones, and maybe a little something for myself. Here are some ideas, I hope this helps you as you get started on your holiday shopping list.
For all the special people in your life - I love to give something that feels luxurious and special. I love this Maison D’etto discovery perfume set, it allows you to try them all out, live in them, before purchasing a full size bottle. I love so many of their fragrances - I discovered at Stéle in Williamsburg. If you haven’t checked out this shop, it’s a really fun place to find a new perfume or pick up a beautiful marble incencse tray.
With all of the upcoming holiday parties, it’s nice to have a little stash of goodies so you can have something on hand to bring to your host. As I’ve been under the weather, I’ve been enjoying some lovely non-alcoholic beverages and this Ghia aperitif duo is so great. Gohar World is such a fun visit (in person and online) for special treats. And anytime you are hosting or heading to a little gathering, it’s all about Big Night, the brainchild of
(follow her substack Little Gems for more of her brain), where I can pick up Bonilla a la vista potato chips in the cutest tin, or these chocolate sardines in a netted bag (!!)
‘Tis the season. We all need things that feel good and make us feel good. Self care, things that make us feel pampered and cared for. We need to stay well and healthy, why not show your loved ones how much you care about them with some of these treats. I especially love anything personalized, and Abbode has some great things you can monogram, like this embroidered toiletry bag. My friend
introduced me to this divine altitude oil, I know what I’m putting into my own stocking this year. (Does this SNL skit resonate with anyone else?)
And who doesn’t love to be cozy at home? Lots of fun items that bring joy to nights in. Vestige is one of my favorite stores, and they always carry amazing gifts like the Calder Sculpting Time book and they have a lovely gift section. There are so many chic and luxe items that look and feel more than they cost - I just ordered this oversized cashmere sweater, these cotton silk socks, and this giant brushed scarf for myself.
I love shopping for kids. So much color, pattern, fun cute things! My talented friend Jaye is an incredible artist who started a very cute kids brand, Strawberry Field Kids. My kids live in their swim sets and I always get stopped to ask where we got them. Milk Teeth is another amazing treasure trove of very unique clothes and accessories, full of bold color and prints, oversized proportions, and is cute overload. Don’t overlook Moma Store’s insane gift selections - they have the best Jellycat assortment, games and books. Lots of other fun goodies below…
